Honoring Our Educators: The Sacred Wai Kru Ceremony
The International College observed the Wai Kru Ceremony during the 2025 International Day and Cultural Exchange. Students presented floral trays (Phan Wai Kru) arranged with dok khem, for sharp wit, and ya phraek, for perseverance, to thank their professors. Faculty joined the Bai Sri Su Kwan ritual, tying sacred white threads on students’ wrists as a blessing of wisdom, protection, and academic success — a Lanna tradition shared with the international student body.
